SOLUTION    HENRY LAW -  At constant temperature , the solubility of gas in liquid is directly proportional to partial pressure of the gas present above the surface of liquid of solution .  Partial pressure of a gas in the vapour phase is proportional to to the mole fraction of the gas(x) in the solution .                                       P  directly proportional to X                                                                      P = KhX          Kh - Henry's contant     It depends upon :  Nature of the gas and temperature   Solubility of a gas is inversely proportional to the temperature  Higher the value of Kh at given pressure, lower is the solubility of the gas in liquid.  Solubility of gases increases with decrease of temperature , therefore, aquatic species are comfortable  in cold waves
SOLUTIONS ( PART 2)  Solubility = It is the maximum amount of solute that can be dissolved in specified amount of solvent at certain temperature. It depends upon : Nature of solute and solvent                                    Temperature and pressure Dissolution= It is the amount of solid solute that dissolves in a solvent and the concentration solid solute increases in the solution. Crystallization= The solute particles in the solution collides with solid solute and separates out of solution .                     Saturated Solution                                        Unsaturated Solution                  Solution in which no more solute                         Solution in which more solute can be dissolved              can be dissolved at the same                               at the same temperature and pressure.              temperature and pressure.               FACTORS EFFECTING SOLUBILITY ( Solu
